Lesley's frocks are designed to take you all through your day - whether it be camp drop-off, driving to work, picking out raspberries from your local farmers' market or meeting friends for cocktails. Today I found Hope just at home on the streets of Paris, from my first espresso at our hotel in Marais. (And after hearing the 19th century writer Balzac drank 25 espressos a day I feel okay about having a double.)
Just as the espresso cups are tiny so are the cars...
And now for some window shopping - or leche vitrine as the French would say, literally translated to "window licking."
Selecting wine, cheese and couscous from our new corner shop, the Supreme du Marais....
Then heading off to Place des Vosges for a picnic dinner...
Where in the world would you wear your Hope?
You got me Jody! Not usually a commenter, but I simply had to go for the Lesley Evers dress! I'm still trying to figure out where the kids are while you and Kevin jet around France. Now that Harley is in high school, is he in charge?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
I LOVE those shots - fabulous! And that dress!
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous! I was wondering what you were doing in Paris and just scrolled down to read that you have slipped away--good for you! I really do need more dresses (hard to believe, but I spend most of my work days in the same pair of jeans and a tee)--so please sign me up for this sweet one and I will tweet it too :)

A)You are so gorgeous! Seriously. B) 25 cups of espresso? My ears would be ringing C) I'm not going to lie, I'm a little jealous that you are in Paris and I am not D) "window licking" has just entered my vocabulary and E) If I won the dress it would be worn on a much-needed date with the hubs.

Oh please enter me in this! I just adore Lesley Evers dresses & I'm planning a trip to Paris this fall -- would be awesome to wear a new one there! Big fan of hers & yours! Looks like you're having a lovely time!
ReplyDeleteLoVe these!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress--green print is perfect for everyday yet so fun! I am wearing one of my favorite lesley evers dresses today actually :) alway makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous and Hope looks perfectly at home in Paris!
ReplyDeleteI have this unfortunate 'talent' for making nice clothes look awful so don't enter me as it would be a travesty! Don't know if this is because I am a dwarf or just not blessed with grace but this partly explains why I usually dress like a 6 year old hoping that the stupidity of my outfits overshadows my lumpy shape. Anyway - just thought I'd say that you and Hope look fab and I love the pattern. (Anyway - if I did suddenly possess something nice my daughter would steal it anyway!) Have fun with the draw!!
ReplyDeleteI would love one of Lesly's fabulous dresses. YOu look great.
ReplyDeleteWow you look amazing in that dress (although you do appear to be the type of woman who could wear a bin bag with style). Thanks so much for your comment on my blog. I couldn't help but noticing your amazing wedges too...I have a fab pair from Banana Republic that have only had one outing this year. Criminal!!! I am going to have to start wearing them surreptitiously around the house at this rate, just doing the housework (ha ha ha....like I do housework!)
ReplyDeleteAs your brother would say..."good for you". Glad you and Kev got away and able to sport quite the up-market look!
ReplyDeletexoxo, Grace

Okay - so i actually already own and wear this gorgeous frock - and i SO don't want to be greedy or PRESUME that i would ever win this but, should that be the case (feelin' LUCK-Y!), I will give the HOPE to one of my many, many pals whom have complimented me on this dress. I'm a wee bit, uh, larger than Jody, and this dress still is striking.
