Post Gangnam and Harlem Shake: The Action Jack

Ok, so you've got Gangnam Style and the Harlem Shake down - but you're looking to add something else to your dance repertoire.  A few new moves to astound your friends and impress your neighbours this Saturday night. Here's the latest dance from Oakland - the Action Jack.  Safe to click in  - no offensive language.

Corey Action teaches me the Action Jack

(Remember I told you about the previous latest dance from Oakland, the Gettin' Saucy - includes some offensive language - which is also called the J12 or Slow Down. See, I don't put you crook.)

The Action Jack is the creation of Corey Action of New Style Motherlode - you might have met him here.  He does a variety of corey-ography. Recently he designed a prospective crowd dance for the Warriors basketball team.

There's no doubt Gangnam Style and the Harlem Shake are corkers even though they're ubiquitous. Obama and Cameron have been recorded doing the Gangnam and the Shake is so international that a bunch of Australian miners were fired this week after they recorded themselves dancing on work time. Not safe, said their bosses. Movie stars are happy to be seen dancing in the street.

But maybe time to add Action Jack to your repertoire? It's easy peasy and is as suitable for lighting up your kitchen as the club flo' apparently.

  2. I feel sorry for the miners too, they were having a bit of a lark in the dark I suppose...

  8. Whenever I hear "break it down" (or I guess specifically "Donnie D, BREAK IT DOWN!!!"), I always think of Marky Mark's (now Mark Wahlberg's) 'Good Vibrations'....well, really, what's the diff? I wonder if Mark Wahlberg ever sings that song anymore? I would dance to that!

    1. Wonder if he wants to forget about all that - like the way he's getting rid of all his tattoos and making his kids watch how painful it is...actually not such a bad idea. I should send my kids off with a few people that are having tatt removal. Now I'm going to have to Youtube that song
